“Let Loose.” – dreamsicle.

We had the pleasure of interviewing dreamsicle., and here’s what they had to say:

Q: What inspired “let loose”?

DREAMSICLE.: We had recently discovered our mutual love for artists such as Remi Wolf, Surfaces, and The Beach Boys. By combining all these influences and putting our own spin on things, we stumbled upon a sound all our own. While “let loose.” is one of many songs we’ve cooked up, we feel it is the perfect introduction to dreamsicle.

Q: Could you walk us through the production process for this song?

DREAMSICLE.: Aric Damm, one half of dreamsicle., came up with the iconic main guitar riff, and the song fell into place from there. The chorus melody follows this catchy riff. Instrumentation like the theremin, popularized by The Beach Boys, reestablishes the tropical, beachy vibes that dreamsicle. represents.

Q: What’s your best part about releasing new music?

DREAMSICLE.: The best part about releasing new music is getting the chance to share something that brings us joy. We have so much fun creating these songs and truly feel inspired by what we are making. We hope anyone who hears our music feels a little lighter and a little more joyful too.

Q: How do you balance each other out as a band?

DREAMSICLE.: Are there moments when someone wants to try something new, but others aren’t quite on board with it? We both are pretty happy-go-lucky people so we don’t tend to run into disagreements. It also helps that we tend to have the same taste in music and the same approach!

Q: Who would you say is your biggest supporter? Why?

DREAMSICLE.: Our spouses, hands down. They have to hear our songs on repeat as we write and perfect them. We both are blessed to have spouses that are truly supportive and back us 100%.

Q: Who’s one artist you all agree has had a significant impact on your sound?

DREAMSICLE.: To pick just one is difficult. We have an ever-growing playlist of songs to draw inspiration from that is filled with artists from across the board. At the moment, we have been listening to a lot of Remi Wolf. She’s incredible!
