“Jinja” by Olamide takes you on a flight to Nigeria with his siren sound seamlessly flowing from Nigerian Pidgin English. “Jinja” has a smooth afro-beats sound that blends seamlessly with the sample, “Für Elise” by Ludwig Van Beethoven playing in the background of the beat. Olamide’s lyrics can be difficult to interpret to people who are very unfamily with Nigerian Pidgin, but there are some parts in “Jinja” that clearly conveys a deep devotion and support for their partner. Regardless, this song’s warmth can clearly be felt throughout “Jinja,” and the world of dance is a universal language that can be understood by the masses.
