“It’s Just a Game” – Cesar Santalo

Just in time for the heat to rise comes Cesar Santalo with his first single of 2022, “It’s Just a Game.” With a slick beat and a chilled display of lyricism, it’s the perfect combination to make your warmer months a sensation.

Everything revolving around love and relationships can oftentimes feel like a game. Whether it’s one you’re going to win, that’s dependent on you. That aside, Cesar Santalo puts the pieces on the board and makes a move with “It’s Just a Game.” In this song he is very straightforward with the narrative, not hiding the fact that he and the other person were entangled in a game of their own and he’s trying to reminisce about everything from the nights spent together and the drive to take home the win. He notes writing music is basically penning a soundtrack to his life, and this feels like a chapter everyone will want to read.

The ebb and flow of the song are what really takes control though as Santalo gives those hills and valleys throughout, and packs more of a punch once the chorus comes into play without overdoing it. There’s a real control to his performance.

“It’s Just a Game” is the latest in a long time of music from Cesar Santalo. His debut single, “3am” dropped a handful of years ago in 2018 and since then he’s been consistently releasing music ever since with his latest, “I’m Done Calling,” making its mark in 2021.

To hear all of those and “It’s Just a Game,” make sure to check out Cesar Santalo on all major music and streaming sites today.
