“It’s A Saturday Night” – The Ram

A love letter to the live music community, The Ram has released his new single “It’s A Saturday Night.” With over fifty years of live music experience, The Ram has found himself in the 1990s scene of NYC and the early 2000s scene of the West Coast. He has never called one place, genre, or instrument home – just the music and the people themselves.

“It’s A Saturday Night” is a fun and groovy song all the way through. The Ram has such a positive outlook when performing even though weekdays will sometimes bring less of a crowd into the venue. To paint the picture The Ram sings in the first verse, “steam from the shower / brings me back to my senses / I take a deep breath and open my eyes.” These lyrics appeal to the senses and overall, the song puts the listener into a bar with The Ram front and center on the stage.

With so much experience in the industry, The Ram pays attention to other revenues outside of just live music. He will always release an instrumental from his songs for sync opportunities. Since he has this mindset, it is clear that both the lyrics and the music are perfected individually and then married together beautifully. Another stand out lyric is, “I hope you make it home safely and satisfied / I want to say it once again / thank you and I love you,” he sings directly to the listeners in this instance, and it is a real moment of connection and thoughtfulness.

When asked what the song means to him, The Ram shared, “my latest single ‘It’s A Saturday Night’ is an open love letter to all local California music and surf communities. Huge thanks to all those who serve their communities by supporting and performing live music.”
