“It’d Be Cool If You Did” – Andrew Wade

Andrew Wade has a way of putting words together that anyone could relate to. Have you ever just wanted to know your ex was thinking of you, even though they had no obligation to reach out? This country singer from Texas captures that type of feeling in “It’d Be Cool If You Did”. We had the pleasure of interviewing Andrew Wade and here is what he had to say:

Q: What got you into Texas/Red Dirt Music?

Andrew Wade: I saw Roger Creager open for Pat Green at Schulenburg Festival back in early 2000’s and knew I wanted to be on stage doing that same thing.

Q: What inspired “It’d Be Cool If You Did”?

Andrew Wade: I just got to thinking one evening about a girl I had recently broken up with and the song pretty much wrote itself.

Q: Beans or no beans in your chili?

Andrew Wade: Beans…it’s just tastes better.

Q: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would it be and why?

Andrew Wade: Trent Willmon has always been one of my hero’s. I feel like he’s got a great ear for songwriting and producing music.

Q: You can only choose one and the rest will go away forever… Buccee’s, HEB, or Whataburger?

Andrew Wade: I’d have to say HEB. I barbecue a lot and its hard to find a good brisket anywhere else locally

Q: What are your goals for the future of your music career?

Andrew Wade: Keep writing and making albums. It’s a passion and hopefully more and more folks will start listening as time goes on.
