“If The Sky Falls Down” by Nick Klyne

Finding it hard to stay optimistic? Hang in there. You aren’t alone. At different points, we have low moments when we don’t feel our best and can’t see a way forward, especially with the current state of the world. It’s okay to take one step at a time, even a little one, each day. Nick Klyne understands this feeling and hopes to uplift listeners with his song “If The Sky Falls Down.” We had the pleasure of interviewing Nick Klyne, and here’s what he had to say:

Q: I like the vulnerable songwriting and delivery! What motivated you to create and share this song?

KLYNE: Thank you so much! The motivation for If The Sky Falls Down came from a challenging period in my life when I was struggling with my mental health and finding it difficult to stay optimistic. I wanted to transform these emotions into something positive, and through the process of creating with producers/songwriters Joel Sjöö and Joel Dieleman, I was able to do so. The song became a reflection of my journey to find hope and strength in difficult times, which I wanted to share with others who might be going through similar experiences.

Q: Thank you so much for sharing that with us! What is one thing you’d like listeners to take away from “If The Sky Falls Down”?

KLYNE: I wanted to portray the message of hope and resilience in there. Even when times are tough, and it feels like everything is falling apart, there’s always something or someone that can help you find the strength to keep going. In this song, that source of hope is someone special to me.

Q: In what ways do you think your songs reflect your personality?

KLYNE: I believe by trying to showcase my vulnerability and honesty and finding it hard to do so in the process. I try to express my true emotions and experiences in my music, which hopefully allows listeners to connect with me on a deeper level.

Q: What role do you think music played in the early years of your life?

KLYNE: Music played a significant role as it was a source of inspiration, comfort, and peace of mind. It helped me discover my passion for creating and sharing not just my own but also stories from others through songwriting, and it has continued to be an essential part of my life ever since.

Q: Are there any musicians who inspire you? What qualities do you admire in them?

KLYNE: Some musicians who inspire me include Prince, Van Halen, Bruno Mars, and John Mayer. I admire their unique styles, creativity, and ability to connect with their audience through the stories in their music. They each have a distinct sound and a strong passion for their work, which is something I strive to do as well.

Q: What projects are currently in the works?

KLYNE: At the moment I’m focused on finishing up my next single, which pays homage to a movie that has greatly influenced my musical journey. Additionally, I’m spending time in the studio writing new material and considering putting together an EP that I can’t wait to release in the very near future.
