“GLiTCH” by ADD | OCD

ADD | OCD just released their latest album “GLiTCH” last week, on April 2, 2026. This album starts with a really strong opener of the same name, which seems to lyrically tackle a concept that follows alongside the band’s name.

Musically, “GLiTCH” does well at taking a funky groove with more modern alternative vocals and melody. This creates something that’s as nostalgic as it is new.  The chorus has great harmonies, and the bass and guitar slap carry a really energetic beat. There are also really great instrumental sections with some fire guitar leads. There’s also some editing to add some glitchy effects, which builds into the more modern sound. Additionally, the vocals belt along strongly and have so much emotiveness, which gives a lot of realistic emotion.

Lyrically, this track seems to be about a glitch in one’s brain. It shares about how one’s brain naturally moves and controls one’s self-perception and interactions with the world. The first verse opens with, “Near-sighted vision, focused on what’s missing / My eyes always scanning with a cruel caress.” It then builds into a narrative of someone living with a brain that hyperfocuses but is constantly scanning around for flaws in one’s environment. This realistically builds into a narrative of what it could be like living with both ADD and OCD.
