“For The Love of Whatever”- Hooks & The Huckleberries

Listening to “For The Love of Whatever” by Hooks & The Huckleberries feels like you’re futuristic, alternative country song on your walkman on a nice spring day. However, the background instrumentals and vocal arraignments is a complete contrast from the lyrics. “For The Love of Whatever” is a vulnerable, introspective song about their group feeling an amass of overwhelming emotions after one of their close friends committed suicide. Even though the lyrics of the song can be deemed as contemplative and somber, it’s Americana theme and soul leaves you feeling more supported, and inspired. The Hooks and The Huckleberries gives an energetic, heartfelt performance that leaves you feeling reflective about life, and motivated to continue trucking on .
