“Easier” by RuBe

RuBe brings a deeply reflective and entirely personal song to her newest array of releases. “Easier” is a unique love song about disguising parts of yourself in order to maintain them in a relationship. This song is all about the paradox of guarding yourself from pain but while doing so, you are unable to fully love.

The production is one of the most special aspects of this song. This pop influenced mix is filled with moments of all genres. You can feel parts with electronica and others with synth-pop, all moments feeling unique from the last. “Easier” is full of instrumental surprises and a beat work masterpiece that really shows itself towards the end. When listening to this song, it would be shocking to know that it all started with a piano. RuBe creates all of her songs this way and then develops the beat work after the fact. I truly think this vision is one of a true artist. I love when I can feel songs starting with one simple idea, only to watch them blossom into a full one. This song is a perfect example of that.

RuBe’s vocals are filled with passion and showcased through her powerful vibrato and higher register. Each word is creative from the last. This cohesive pairing of the storytelling and the instrumental work is what makes this song work so well. “Easier” will have you invested from start to finish.

Between her young artistry, creative vision, and unparalleled production genius, RuBe is definitely one to watch.
