Stela Cole has been working her way up the industry ladder for years now. Once signed to RCA, the now indie darling has her eyes set on a new prize – ‘American Song Contest.’ It’s a reality-based competition fashioned after Eurovision, a show that helped bring acts like ABBA and Måneskin to the masses. Now it’s stateside with Stela Cole proudly representing Georgia with “DIY.”
Those grouped alongside Stela Cole have their work cut out for them because “DIY” hits, and it hits hard right out of the gate. The 24-year-old songstress is a dynamo on all levels. She not only sounds impeccable but delivers striking lines with such vigor one would think she’s been in the game for two decades now. Alas, she’s only been going strong for a handful now, but “DIY” is proving to be the song that puts her in the ears and on the minds of everyone who hears. It gives pop with an edge, with a bit of this hip hop flare we’ve heard recently from artists like Lizzo. It’s an anthemic track that will set fire to the airwaves.
Stela Cole dropped her debut EP, ‘Throwing Up Butterflies,’ back in 2018. Since then she has been a steady wave of goodness as she has yet to let a year go by without releasing more to her fans. “DIY” follows the release of 2021’s “Walking On The Moon,” and will be heard in the fourth qualifiers round on ‘American Song Contest’ on April 11th on NBC.
Fans can tune into that, but they can also hear “DIY” out now on all major music and streaming sites.
