“Dickmatized” – Jada Kingdom

It didn’t take long into listening to “Dickmatized” by Jada Kingdom to be transported back to 2014 when I was in a similar situation, but honestly…who hasn’t been? In this day and age where hooking up is the norm, we can often find ourselves stuck in a toxic cycle because while the person may not check 90% of your boxes, there’s one part of them that gets it oh so right.

Memories of late-night rendezvous after flirtatious texts back and forth, again, we’ve all been there. Jada Kingdom presents this relatable topic with a fervor though. She lays the cards on the table for all to see with honesty, and a beat that does not quit. “Dickmatized” feels like the musical love child of Jessie Reyez and Rihanna as she has this cool alternative delivery laced in between this reggaeton meets hip hop feel. All in all, this is a song that will find itself on playlists with the likes of bangers from the past from Destiny’s Child like “Jumpin’ Jumpin’” and “Say My Name” as it has this Ladies Night; sing it loud with the girls vibe.

Jada Kingdom has been heating things up with her infectious ways since releasing her debut, “Love Situations,” in 2017. Since then the Jamaican-born R&B songstress has been continuously captivating audiences with releases year after year including over a dozen singles, an EP in 2020, and a cascade of remixes including 2022’s remix of “Jungle.”

To hear all of the above and then some, make sure to check Jada Kingdom out on all major music and streaming platforms today.
