“Crying in My Boots” by EMMY

EMMY takes vulnerability to a new level with “Crying in My Boots”. She starts the song off by candidly going through the levels of her depression, something that most can resonate with but are too afraid to be honest with.

Through a lyrical journey, she mentions her reluctance of using alcohol to solve her problems with words like, “Wasting all my time wasted. Three days in Vegas / Pretending that I’m not sad”. Leading us into the chorus with, “I’m on the run from everyone / Want to forget all the things that I’ve done”.

Not only are her lyrics captivating alone but they are nestled in between a beautiful range of beats in what could be called a delicious musical sandwich. One that I will be devouring time and time again.
