“Come On” by Fletcher Moudy

Texas-based singer-songwriter Fletcher Moudy has created a great song to get listeners out of a funky mood. “Come on” is an uptempo song that will have you dancing and feeling good in no time. Be sure to give it a listen. We had the pleasure of interviewing Fletcher Moudy, and here’s what he had to say:

Q: Did you have a clear direction/idea of how you wanted “Come On” to sound from the get-go or did it come to you in bits and pieces?

MOUDY: The sounds always starts off in a nebulous field. Jim and I worked the hook for the first half of the session and then it took on a life of its own.

Q: What was a typical recording session for this song like?

MOUDY: This song was mostly remote. I would record tracks at my studio and then Gary would fly those in and merge them with the tracks he was working and then we would trade final tweaks to get the right feel. A great collaboration!

Q: What aspect of the production process did you enjoy the most?

MOUDY: I really enjoy the honing of the parts into a concise message and vibe. So many ways to go at it but finding the right feel is something special.

Q: How would you describe yourself in three words?

MOUDY: Persistent and grateful.

Q: In what way(s), do you think your sound has evolved since the beginning of your career?

MOUDY: I’ve learned the art of less is more. You can be profound in the silence.

Q: What would you like to say to your supporters?

MOUDY: Thank you with all my heart, I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoy making it. Thank you Thank you thank you!
