“Blueprint” – Abi Muir

When I played “Blueprint” by Abi Muir, I thought to myself that I didn’t know Ariana Grande had a vocal twin!! I am really glad to have come across Muir’s song cause it really was the pick-me-up tune I needed to uplift my long and heavy load of a day. This bright, sweet, alternative pop song feels like if you captured sunshine in a bottle and kept it on your bedside. The lyrics are shockingly a bit more sour, which is hard to believe because they are presented in such an upbeat way. Muir lets the audience into her world by diving into the complexities of post-breakup emotions, offering a candid exploration of longing and comparison in the aftermath of her heartache. Even with its melancholic roots, I genuinely think this song is meant for top 40 U.S. radio one day. I can’t wait to hear this on the road with the windows down and the wind in my hair.
