“Bitter Bitch” – Helen

If there was ever a song to set the mood for your year “Bitter Bitch” by Helen is it. An anthem about being yourself in the most unapologetically way? Yes, please!

Helen is serving, slaying, and saying all the right things in “Bitter Bitch” right out the gate. She fails to waste time and gets right to the point of the song as soon as you press play. Setting the stage for what’s to come early, you know instantly that this is an artist that does not play. Straightforward with a message, Helen displays all that she is in neon lights surrounded by music that sounds very today in that it could sit nicely on a playlist between FKA Twigs and Dua Lipa but also pays homage to the past with some very funky moments that make the mind wander to dancing underneath a disco ball’s glow.

Helen dove into music at 14. Penning and composing her own music, she built up a style that combines gorgeous R&B with pop, and at times she gets funky with it. Over the past decade she has grown and developed into the independent force she is today. She officially got things started in 2020 with “Hopeless,” and spent much of 2021 promoting a handful of singles including “Sugar Rush” and “GO.” Helen is kicking off the new year with another chapter in her evergrowing story with her boldest to date, “Bitter Bitch.”
