“Below” – Glom

“Below” by Glom is a song that makes you go “wow, there’s definitely magic within these chords.” It’s sonically sort-of sounds like the older alt-rock chill brother to “Come to My Window” by Melissa Etheridge. The beginning of Below sort of shocks you like when you jump into ice cold water with indescribable sounds that do not prep you for whats to come in the next three minutes. The lyrics are very on-point with my current, insomniac reality that’s being fulled by existential dread of the future, but that’s the beauty that lies within this song. It’s melancholic sound and introspective lyrics make the song very relatable and gives the audience a chance to really connect with Glom’s inner thoughts and feelings. I definitely would recommend this song if you are seeking a calm indie rock song that can help you explore and possibly confront your innermost fears and uncertainties.
