“Aaja Baby” – RIDI

As a non-Hindi speaker, I had to search up “Aaja” at first in order to have a new found understanding for Ridi’s song, “Aaja Baby.” For those that are equally curious, it means “to come,” according to Shabdkosh.com, which makes the song even sexier with context!! “Aaja Baby” by Ridi is a Indian-Pop song that blends Flamenco guitar work behind an Indian beat, giving her cultural hertiage a lot of shine throughout the song. Ridi’s distinctive vocal arraignment adds a sultry but also charismatic element to “Aaja Baby.” This is a creatively innovative song that will have you towards the end of it wondering why you ever were so tense in the first place!!
