“Two’s Company” – Jason Shay x Herschel Lamont

“Two’s Company” by Jason Shay x Herschel Lamont is like sunshine in a song, with a dash of soul to accompany it. Shay and Lamont harmoniously link up together to create an infectious groove, laced with syncopated rhythms that instantly grab your attention and compel you to dance and even hit a little slow grind here and there. The bass guitar and the electric guitar are the stars of the show in “Two’s Company” and they both link up to create a catchy riff that’s impossible to resist. The vocals also inject a burst of energy that’s reminiscent of early 2000s soul singers like Adam Levine or James Morrison. The amazing thing about “Two’s Company” is the vocals do not outshine the rap portion of the song, and vice versa. The cadence and flow in the rap verse transitions from a laid-back, conversational flow to a rapid, tongue-twisting delivery. These switch-ups add layers to their song, creating dynamic and unpredictable listening experiences that blends together beautifully with the vocals. If you want to have a great start to your day, and/or give your lover a sweet little serenade, give “Two’s Company” by Lamont and Shay a play.
