We had the pleasure of interviewing HARBER, and here’s what he had to say:
Q: What did you enjoy the most about working with Sydtherockerkid? What inspired this collaboration?
HARBER: I was working on a lot of piano-driven instrumentals really having fun with the genre. We were looking for the perfect vocal to fit the “Medicine” instrumental I had been finishing up and Syd’s voice was just a perfect fit.
Q: What was your creative and production process for “Medicine”?
HARBER: I really wanted to make a solid piano-driven record with a catchy melody. For me, the hardest part of making this record was finding the right piano sounds to combine into what you hear in the record. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
Q: How do you want this song to make listeners feel?
HARBER: I really want this song to make people feel euphoric, I want it to make them throw their hands in the air and sing along.
Q: How long have you been creating music and what do you enjoy most about it?
HARBER: I’ve been making music for about 8 years. I’d say the part I enjoy most is pushing myself to make stuff out of my comfort zone and experimenting with new sounds.
Q: Aside from making music, what do you spend the bulk of your time doing?
HARBER: I really enjoy playing tennis and golf, and hanging out with friends. I know my job is very extroverted but I’m actually a very introverted person so I do love hanging at home too.
Q: I think this is a lovely collaboration. Can we expect to hear more songs from it?
HARBER: Absolutely! My next song has a very similar piano house vibe and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!
