“One Night” – Scars on Louise

We had the pleasure of interviewing Scars on Louise, and here’s what they had to say:

Q: What inspired “One Night”?

SCARS ON LOUISE: “One Night” is about dreams you try to achieve together, sticking together, and striving for bigger goals.

Q: What effect would you like this song and your music, in general, to have on listeners?

SCARS ON LOUISE: In our songs, we address many everyday situations, feelings, and the small or larger problems that everyone has to struggle with. We want to inspire the listeners with our music, make them think, or just give them a good time and fun listening. An important part for us is live shows – there is nothing better than to feel how the energy between us the audience and the music arises and creates magical moments.

Q: What did you enjoy the most about creating it?

SCARS ON LOUISE: We wrote the song on the piano first. The best moments were the interaction of the first piano idea with the vocals and the production work with different percussions and effect sounds. After finishing the production work, a finished song always fills us with pride because we have recorded and created everything ourselves from the first idea to the end.

Q: How long have you been making music?

SCARS ON LOUISE: The band has been around since 2017, but in 2020 we made a fresh start and changed the style with our current singer Laura. But we have been making music since we were kids or teenagers.

Q: In what way(s) would you say your sound has evolved since you started?

SCARS ON LOUISE: At the beginning of our band history we worked with different producers. After a few single releases, however, it became more and more clear to us that our sound ideas no longer matched those of our producers. We then decided to set up our own studio and produce ourselves. We have been doing this for about 2 years now. Since then our sound has changed a lot. The songs and productions are getting more and more mature and we discover new sounds with every song and let new inspirations flow in.

Q: What does your roadmap for the rest of the year look like pertaining to your music career?

SCARS ON LOUISE: We are currently writing and working on our debut album. “One Night” is one of the first single releases from it. We also have concerts with a symphony orchestra coming up and are planning a tour in Europe for the release of the album.
