“Living out Loud” – Three Second Chances

We had the pleasure of interviewing Three Second Chances, and here’s what they had to say:

Q: Hi! It’s nice to meet you guys! Please, could you introduce yourselves and tell us the different roles you play in this band?

THREE SECOND CHANCES: (JACYN): I’m Jacyn and I am a vocalist and co-writer of our tunes!
(BEN): Vocals, bass, co-writer.
(JOEY): Vocals, keyboard, co-writer.

Q: What does the name Three Second Chances represent/mean to you?

THREE SECOND CHANCES: (JACYN): Well it’s pretty simple-we’re all taking a “second chance” on music in our 40s and loving every second! We have all been in various bands and projects over the years but we are taking another chance on releasing original music into the world. It’s been quite an adventure so far! We want to show people that you are never too “old” or too “anything” to give up on your dreams!

Q: That’s great! What’s the story behind “Living out Loud”?

THREE SECOND CHANCES: (BEN): Living out Loud is an inspirational pop anthem. We hope it motivates people to let go of fear, be their authentic selves and live their life LOUD!

Q: What do you think is the best part about being musicians?

THREE SECOND CHANCES: (JACYN): It’s an amazing feeling to really express yourself through music and to be able to connect with people in that way. There’s nothing like that exchange of energy between the performer and the audience. It’s a really special opportunity to affect people in a big way!

Q: What’s one thing the band is really looking forward to achieving musically this year?

THREE SECOND CHANCES: (JACYN): This year has already been huge for us…we came a long way from being a writing “pod” during the pandemic.
(JOEY): We’ve been connecting with so many amazing and talented people, and our songs are coming to life with our producer Austin Cannon (of Nashville). We’ve also been pouring a lot of energy into self-producing music videos and social content. (BEN): This year’s biggest goal is simply “more”. Release more music, produce more videos, and connect with more people. The response so far has been overwhelming. We know we have a message that resonates.
(JACYN): We’re also excited about Three Second Chances live shows… maybe a performance on SNL? Just putting it out there.

Q: What is your favorite memory so far from your journey as a musician?

THREE SECOND CHANCES: (JACYN): THANK YOU! We can’t do what we do if no one is listening and liking it.
(JOEY): We want our supporters to be inspired to have their “second chance” too! Just go get it! It’s there!!
(BEN): Your support has reminded me why music was my passion since childhood. Thank you.
