“Call Me” – Gabry Ponte x R3HAB x Timmy Trumpet

It’s hard to imagine there is a person on earth today who has never heard Blondie and Giorgio Moroder’s “Call Me.” Alas, any 80s-song TikTok challenge will show you that some classics have slipped by younger generations. Thankfully there are artists out there willing to take on the task of helping breathe new life into older songs, and in turn, introducing them all over again. That is what the talented Gabry Ponte, R3HAB, and Timmy Trumpet have seamlessly done with their take on one of that decade’s best.

There was always a vibrancy in the original “Call Me.” Likely because it bridged the gap between the effervescent disco of the ‘70s and the neon ways of the ‘80s. A new wave staple, “Call Me” was perfection at the time, but there’s always room for growth, right? That’s where the brilliance of Gabry Ponte, R3HAB, and Timmy Trumpet comes into play. Each armed with a particular set of skills, they brought “Call Me” into the 21st century with pulsations that will send it straight to the top of the nightlife scenes as clubs aren’t going to be able to deny what this version of “Call Me” has going on. The same can be said for the festival scene as those are coming back in full swing this year.

Each talent in this trio of like-minded friends comes equipped with years of DJ and producing experience, so right there – you know the track is going to be sonically sound. To hear a new take on a classic, make sure to check out “Call Me” from Gabry Ponte, R3HAB, and Timmy Trumpet out now on all major music and streaming platforms.
