“Whiplash” – Alexa Cappelli

When it comes to online dating, let’s just say I was happy to get in and get out within months with a partner I learned very quickly was my person. Others, not so lucky. It can be a whirlwind of chaos when you put yourself out there like that, so much so that it could cause some damage or in the case of Alexa Cappelli, “Whiplash.”

Like this talented pop singer, I too did my online dating from Southern California – so I 100% understand her concern and every situation dealt out in her latest single. That’s especially true when she sings, “I wanna skip to the heart of it,” because nothing is more excruciating and awkward as those initial “get to know you” conversations that…when they are leading nowhere, are exhausting. While the subject matter of the self-doubt and unsettling nature of dating in the modern world, the song is a bonafide pop bop that is truly undeniable.

Perhaps that comes from growing up in a state full of constant sunshine and good vibes, or it’s the fact that Alexa Cappelli knew very early on that music was her calling. She began vocal lessons at seven years old and found herself performing before live audiences in her teens. Today, she’s 22 and ready to take on the world with her infectious mix of pop with an electro twist. Those who want more of Alexa Cappelli and “Whiplash” can check out her latest release on all major music and streaming platforms now.
