Logan Garrett’s new track, “Take Me Down” featuring Madeline Edwards is a rush of energy and confidence!
“Take Me Down” is an infectious electronic pop track with house influences that’s dashed with captivating builds and raw emotion in the vocals. It starts with a simple piano and smooth vocals that slowly build with snaps and then shakers into an electrifying chorus. This chorus picks up with guitar before the percussion speeds up and a bass bounce punches in. The sonics in this track are stellar, and the production and mix deliver absolute clarity.
Lyrically, this track seems to capture a tale of standing up for one’s self. The chorus goes, “I, I’ll go out blazing with knuckles burning white / and I, I don’t mind, I don’t mind if it’s a fight / Cause you won’t take me down tonight.” It captures a tale of being caught in some kind of battle, fight, or argument. But it shares that the voice of the track won’t be held down, they’ll fight for their own if they have to. It captures an aire of not giving up on something that one has been reaching for
